Rental Assistance Program
Teach Here, Live Here
The Silicon Valley Education Foundation in conjunction with the San José Mayor’s Office created the Teach Here, Live Here (THLH) program to provide rental assistance to teachers in the City of San José.
The program is designed to assist San José’s 19 school districts in addition to the County Office of Education, recruit new teachers especially those in the disciplines of math, science, and special education. THLH provides grants to first time teachers to help them begin their careers in San José.
The Teach Here Live Here application for 2008-2009 is closed. Please visit this page in spring of 2009 for 2009-2010 grant details and application.
